Denise Crosno West Obituary

Denise Crosno West
March 29, 1956 - March 4, 2022
Arroyo Grande, California - On Friday, March 4, 2022, Denise West, loving wife, mother and grandmother, went home to be with Jesus at age 65 after a brave and courageous battle with MS.
Denise was born on March 29, 1956 in Fresno, CA to Norval and Madeleine (Gravier) Crosno. When Denise was just 3 years old her family moved over to the coast where she grew up in San Luis Obispo and graduated from San Luis High in 1974. She received her teaching degree from Point Loma Nazarene University in 1978 and promptly became a bookkeeper because she loved working with numbers and was very organized. On December 17, 1977, she married her high school sweetheart David West. Together they raised a beautiful, vibrant girl, Julie Marie.
Denise had a passion for people and could carry on a conversation with anyone and everyone. She had a way about her that made you feel welcomed and relaxed. Denise also loved to sing. She loved singing for the Lord and to the Lord, from high school concert choir and small group Carousels to treble choir in college, church choirs, duets and trios. What made her singing so very special was her magnificent smile. You could not help but be uplifted when you saw her smile.
Denise's greatest joy was her wonderful daughter, Julie, and her precious granddaughter, Madi, in whom she expressed such great pride and joy. Nothing made her happier than to be with her girls.
Denise was preceded in death by her father, Norval, and her mother, Madeleine. She is survived by her husband David, daughter Julie, granddaughter Madison, her sisters Debby (David) and Sandy and twin brother Dan, her niece Jessica (Josh) and three nephews Wesley (Chloe), Travis (Amy) and Norval, and three great-nieces Madeleine, Charlotte, and Lilly. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 30th, 2022 at the New Life Community Church, 990 James Way, Pismo Beach, CA at 11 o'clock a.m. A second Memorial Service is also planned for our friends in the Boise area on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at the Cole Community Church, 8775 W. Ustick Road, Boise, ID at 1 o'clock p.m. in the Fireside Room.

So sorry to hear this sad news.
I went to church in SLO with Denise. I do remember her smile and her being so nice and what a voice. Peace to her family and know she is in a peaceful place now.

To Denise´s family: I was surprised and deeply saddened to hear of Denise´s passing. She was one of the sweetest people. I remember seeing her perform in "Finnigan´s Rainbow" when she was in high school. She had such a good time and was so proud. She was such a great example of what a person could be. I know how much her twin, Danny, will miss her and how much she meant to him. A special condolence to him. In so many ways, Denise was an example to us all in terms of how to live a good life and love others inspire of our inequities. I, for one, will both miss and remember her smile, forgiving nature and kind heart. She was one of God´s best!
