I met Donna when we entered High School and she was so very special to me. Her trust, loyalty, honesty, and loving ways helped tremendously grow into the woman I am today. When she went off to L.A. to go to school we parted ways but our paths were so lucky to meet again in 1995 during our 20 year high school reunion. It was like we never had parted. She brought her husband and boys to San Diego in summer of 1996 when we were on vacation. It felt so good to see her so happy - it was her dream family come true. If anyone deserved it, it was her. She moved shortly after that to northern california and we lost touch once again. I went to our 40 year reunion just a few weeks ago and looked for her at all the events. This week-end I dug through all my photo albums and found the letters she wrote which helped me find her married name. I am so very sorry I was not able to spend more time with her as mothers, she was an inspiration to me and words cannot express how important she was to me in my life. I am so sorry for not making time to visit her and her family more in 1996 and now, knowing I was not able to express my sincere sorrow to her husband and boys. All my love now and forever, Debi (Caruso) Henretta

Friends, You chose a perfect picture to help us remember Donna. Do you see the jaunty eyebrow? It went with that huge smile and tremendous laugh. So many memories of babysitting coop events and lengthy discussions about life and parenting. Having lost a mother when I was the age of Aiden, I know first hand of your grief. Be kind to each other, give yourself all the time you need. Donna (wife, mom) will always be with you. Keep loving and living.

Though we were out of touch for a few years, you were the best, best friend a girl could have and I hadn't given up the idea that we might grow old reminiscing in our rocking chairs by the fireside. Like about the time you brought home a box of Banty chickens and when you opened it they flew up into the trees. We had a heck of a time corralling them. And that crazy little Banty rooster who wouldn't let you near his hens.
You were born a triple Rooster in the Chinese Zodiac. You always kept your flock close, guarded by your keen observance. Now you are gone and we are left to wonder how to carry on without you.
Rest in Peace special one.
K.E.

Zen, Aiden, and Cailan, we just learned of Donna's passing and we want to extend our most sincere condolences. It was an honor to volunteer with Donna at Monarch working the Script table. Donna was a positive and encouraging woman who strove to serve her children and see their success. We enjoy knowing Aiden through Music Boosters and are happy to see he and Cailan are succeeding in their life plans. Our Love and Prayers will be for your strength and comfort. Dear Zen, Cailan and Aidan,
My memories of Donna are from Cailan's kindergarten year; she was such a loving mother with an infectious laugh and warm smile. Her family was the center of her being and I know that her enormous love will fill your hearts forever. You are in my thoughts during this sad time.
Love,

Dear Aidan and family,
It was with deep sadness that I read of your mom's passing. I have such GREAT memories of her helping, laughing and explaining Japanese Culture to our 3rd Grade class. I used her ideas with subsequent classes for many years afterwards. She was OVER THE TOP proud of both of you boys. A bright energy is now in your hearts forever. Blessings, Mrs Wright
