Edward Fonseca

Edward Fonseca - February 13, 1957 to June 18, 2018. Edward Fonseca, 61, of Grover Beach, CA passed away peacefully under the care of his family on June 18, 2018, after a lengthy illness. He was born on February 13, 1957 to Josephine (Souza) Wright and Manuel Fonseca. He learned the value of working hard from his father. After high school he served three years in the United States Army from February 13, 1974 to February 8, 1977. During his time in the service he earned the rank of SP4 where he was assigned to Service Battery 3rd Battalion 84th Field Artillery. While in the service he was stationed in Germany where he guarded the nuclear missiles. Edward is survived by his two sons: Robert Fonseca of Sarasota, FL and Ryan Fonseca of Grover Beach, CA; his sister, Marlene Clark (Jim) of Lemoore, CA; two brothers: Lee Fonseca of Grover Beach and Evan Stockton of Arroyo Grande; step-sister, Sandra Goularte of Hanford; his granddaughter, Grace Rossiter of Yuma, AZ; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A visitation for Mr. Fonseca will take place from 10:00 to 11:00 am, Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at Whitehurst McNamara Funeral Home, 100 W. Bush St., Hanford, CA. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 am at Calvary Cemetery on 10th Ave. in Hanford. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date in his home town of Grover Beach, CA.
