Thinking about Mr. Hannula brings back memories of my years at MBHS and a happy childhood in Morro Bay. He had a way of treating every one as if each was special and unique. I always enjoyed seeing him at our reunions From one long time MB family to another.... rest in peace. Keep warm memories close.

A delightful man who had such a positive impact on so many of our lives. He had a special gift of making the people around him feel good about themselves. I will surely miss seeing him around town.

At MB High School, Jerry Hannula was cherished and loved by really everyone I can think of. Everyone liked him, and everyone liked his kids and his lovely Carol, even those who only knew them casually. Mr. Hannula made a positive and important difference in every life he touched and he left an amazing legacy not just in ideas and tradition, but in real flesh-and-blood people. We were all blessed for his being here. Comforts and love to the family.

My heart goes out to the family of Gerald Hannula..... I just looked up his photo in my Morro Bay High School Yearbook from 1964 and he was then Dean of Boys - but we girls all loved him too!
We loved seeing him at Reunions that he always attended.... He was a kind and trusted friend and a great leader to all who were fortunate enough to have known him. We all loved Mr. Hannula! I'll donate to the Scholarship Fund and it's a wonderful idea to honor the man we all loved so..... Condolences to his lovely family.
