James Babb Obituary
Jimmy spent most of his life in Pismo Beach where he enjoyed fishing, kayaking and surfing. He attended Cuesta College, Cal Poly and later the Fire Academy at Allan Hancock College.
He worked as a lifeguard in the summers at Mustang Waterslides and the winters as a lifeguard at Cuesta College and Avila Hot Springs. Jimmy moved to Oklahoma City in September of 2008 to further his career as an EMT and fireman.
Jimmy leaves behind his loving family; parents Michael and Pamela Forister of Pismo Beach and James and Cathie Babb of San Luis Obispo; brothers Ralph and Michael Campos of Porterville Calif., and Paul Diaz (Chaplian U.S. Army), Andrew, Matthew and Joshua Babb of San Luis Obispo; sisters Christina Diaz of North Hollywood, Calif., Valerie (Shawn) Lane and Katie Babb of Seattle, Wash.; grandparents Lowell and Ernesteen Forister of Pismo Beach, Clyde and Ruth Berger of Lindsay, Calif., and Dave and MaryBell Romero of San Luis Obispo.
A memorial for Jimmy will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009, at Grace Church in San Luis Obispo. Family and friends will gather at the Pismo Beach Moose Lodge in Pismo Beach following the service.

Hi,
I know of you through Carla, and also have a 27 year old son; my deepest sympathy: but know that the loving God I believe in welcomed Jimmy with open arms when he passed over to the angels.

I am so sorry to hear about James. I worked with him at Lopez as a Ranger Aide and also through Mustang Slides and Avila. We often talked about the Fire Academy as I am an Academy grad too. He was a breath of fresh air when you needed someone to talk and always had a story to share.

I'm really sorry for Jimmy's leaving us so soon. I know he's in heaven now and hopefully enjoying an eternity of fishing, kayaking and surfing.
