Jean Sciocchetti Obituary

On Monday, Oct. 11, 2010, our beloved mother joined our Heavenly Father and her lifelong love, Vernon "Ski" Freddric Sciocchetti - a wish she so desired from the day he left us, Oct. 19, 1999. Jean was a devoted, loving mother and gave selflessly to raise three rambunctious slow maturing men. She displayed a deep and unconditional love to our father, an example we so appreciate and cherish. Raised in Carmel, Calif., by Ethel and "Doc" Staniford, she met Ski and the adventure began. They sojourned in Hawaii for a season, relocated to San Luis Obispo to kick us out of the nest and eventually retired back in Carmel Valley. The Village and Valley was heaven on earth for Jeannie and Ski. Jeannie was a hoot to be around when she entertained, fished, or traveled, the things she most loved to do. She was fortunate to have had a spectacular life. Jeannie leaves behind her three sons Lee, Gary, and Mike; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A celebration of her life will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, at the Carmel Valley Community Youth Center, 25 Ford Road in Carmel Valley.

My sympathy is extended to the Sciochetti Family in the loss of their wonderful Mother/Grandmother. I had the pleasure of knowing her back in the "old days", when she and "Ski" or Mr. S. as we called him were here in SLO at the Hacienda Hosp. My heart goes out to the family..a fun and loving LADY!
