Jerry Cothran

March 15, 2024

San Luis Obispo, California - Jerry Cothran passed away at the age of 88 on March 15, 2024, in San Luis Obispo. He was born in Arkansas in 1935. In 1950, the family moved to Selma, California, where he managed the family grocery store and gas station, the Economy Market.

In 1964, the family moved to the central coast and started a rental property business in Morro Bay and San Luis Obispo, where Jerry managed the family properties.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lydia, his sons Mark and Manny, Manny's wife Michelle, two grandchildren, a brother Dan and sister Joy, and eleven nieces and nephews. One niece, Monica, was especially helpful to Jerry in later years.

He is remembered as a kind and gentle person, whose dedication to the family businesses contributed greatly to the welfare of all family members.

At his request, there will be no service except for a small private gathering of close family.

Buddy was always so kind to include me in things he did. He took me to Arkansas when I was 11 to see my great grandfather. Grop and Grandma called him "Son" and he lived up to the name by helping them so much over the years. Rest now Son
