John Lanigan Obituary

Our loving husband and father, John Kenneth "Jack" Lanigan passed away on August 22, 2018, at the age of 84. He is survived by his wife, Mary; his four children: Gregory Lanigan, Mary Jane Urban, Glenn, Margaret Gresens, Bob, Loretta Beatty, and Chad; and eight grand- children: Brendan and Nicole Lanigan, Garret and Grant Urban, Lily and Clara Oden-Gresens and Conor and Kyle Beatty. Jack was born in Toronto, Canada in 1933. He met and married our mother in August of 1957. He worked as an insurance adjuster for his whole career. He was an amazing, faith-filled husband, father and grandfather. He will be remembered for his spirit and his kind heart. He played hockey as a young man. He was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus. We would like to thank all the doctors and nurses that cared for him throughout his life, especially Dr. Doria, Dr. Negri and Dr. Jason Lee at Stanford. A Celebration of his Life will be held at 9:00 am, Friday, October 12th at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Parish in San Luis Obispo, Ca.

Jack was a wonderful man to all who knew him!A kindness and gentle grace that was evident even up to his last days. I will always think of him with fondness. Prayers to his family for a loving healing.

Jack was such a kind and loving person. He always extended a warm smile and his generous heart to family and friends. He will be missed in our community. My sincere condolences to his wife, Mary, and his children and grandchildren.
