Kurt Glore Obituary

Kurt Douglas Glore Kurt passed away suddenly October 21, 2016 at his home in Paso Robles from heart complications. He was born September 23, 1956 in Marshalltown, Iowa. In 1964 the family moved to Santa Barbara. Kurt was a graduate of Dos Pueblos High School in 1975. He later attended Santa Barbara City College and Stanislaus State University. His career was primarily spent in educational marketing/sales with "Churchill Film/Media," " PBS " and "Scholastic Library Publishing". Kurt's favorite sports were golf and basketball. He never missed rooting for his "Lakers". Kurt was an accomplished and avid golfer. He enjoyed playing with his father and his many friends. He loved golf so much that he eventually made it his occupation working at the pro shop at Hunter Ranch Golf Course. Kurt was truly loved by many. He made friends easily with his infectious smile and great sense of humor. Kurt will be remembered as always having a sparkle in his eyes and a smile on his face. The many people whom he touched will forever miss him. Kurt is survived by his daughter Jenna Glore of Salinas; his parents Robert and Carolyn Glore of Santa Barbara; sisters Kim (Garry) Fenzke of Santa Barbara and Kerri (Tom) Nielsen of Salinas; niece Kara Fenzke and nephew Derek Fenzke. The family would like to invite friends to a celebration of his life being held at 3 pm on Thursday, November 17th at La Cumbre Country Club, 4015 Via Laguna Street, Santa Barbara, CA. Very sad to hear this. Kurt had a great jump and a great family. Remember fondly all the hoops we played at Mt. View School with dad and the guys on Saturday mornings and all the Laker games we attended.
