Richard Kane Obituary

Richard L. Kane Richard Lemar Kane, of Los Osos, California, passed away on August 31, 2017, at the age of 73. Richard grew up in the Southern California desert and attended California Western University where he achieved a Bachelor's in Biological Sciences, and then obtained his Master's in Education from United States International University. After a few years in Southern California, he married and moved with his wife and young children to the Central Coast, settling in Los Osos in 1974. Richard was an active member of the community where he pursued his career in Insurance. Born to the daughter of a Methodist Minister, Richard was raised a Methodist and stayed true to his faith throughout his life. He was well known for his charitable works at Trinity United Methodist Church, the Lions Club as well as volunteering for the Chamber of Commerce. Richard is survived by his wife, Evelyn; children: Benjamin and Paula; and three grandchildren: Shea, Kaelin and Jaden. Sign his guestbook at sanluisobispo.com/obituaries

Dick's celebration of life was inspiring, I love Barbara Hoff's playing, and the song His Eye is on the Sparrow" is a favorite I want played at my funeral a=long with Louie Armstrong's It's a wonderful world" love the Hyn of promise which I Had not heard. Blessings on the family who will miss Dick so.
