Dear Danny, Janice & Sarah,
I was so saddened to learn of Stephen's death. Over the years, Mom has always shared your letters and photos. I so enjoyed hearing about your family adventures and of Stephen and Sarah's accomplishments, goals and aspirations. Stephen reminded me so much of my much loved Uncle Harold. You will be in my heart and prayers.

I was shocked to hear about Steve's death, I worked with him for a little over a semester and was looking forward to working with him again. He always made those seven am mornings seem a little bit brighter with his attitute about life and he livened every conversation with his wit and wild imagination. Steve was a good man and an awesome friend, I wish his famiy well and send my deepest sympathies.

Dearest Danny, Janice and Sarah,
We are just heartbroken over Stephen's death. You are in our thoughts and prayers continually. We appreciate so much the fact that even though we are miles away in Arkansas, you always kept the "Beck" family close. Grandmother Beck loved you so much and enjoyed everything you did to share your lives with her. We will remember the good times we had with Stephen digging worms and going fishing, and his Great Grandmother Beck catching box turtles for him. During his last visit to Arkansas, Stephen and our big black lab became the best of friends, riding for hours on the four-wheeler.
We love you.

Dearest Danny, Janice and little sister Sarah,
Your sweet Steve worked for me since October 13, 2003. I saw him 3-5 times a week every morning at 7 am. My heart aches. I saw him grow from a kid into a man. We talked, I couseled him, I taught him, I disciplined him. I miss him deeply. This would have been his 4th year of working with me during our official residential hall move out program. He was ever present on my shoulder during this years program. Steve has many friends on his grounds work crew. some who fished with him every summer. All of them are deeply saddened and we had some silent time to remember him. I love Steve and relished the mornings when he came to work; smiling and saying good morning to me. I grieve deeply with you. He and you all; his mom, dad, sister and Kelsie were in my thoughts all day long today on what was his graduation day. I have some photos for you. His best friend Ben is always welcome to come and work for me too.
All my love,
Luisa Garza

My deepest heart felt sympathy at the loss of this sweet boy. I have fond memories of he and his Grandpa Bill delivering Ice Cream to my shop and many stories Bill shared about his time with his Grandson. My prayers go out to your family.

I'm really sorry to hear that Steve passed away. Not many people know that he practically saved my life when we were freshmen at Chico. In the short time that I knew him, he was a really good friend and to this day I still greatly apreciate what he did for me.
