Domingo Longoria Obituary
Born in Lockhart, TX on March 21, 1943, to Rosa Contreras and Aristeo Longoria, Domingo lived a life rooted in faith, hard work, and devotion to family. On November 19, 1962, he married the love of his life, Susie Montaña. Their 62-year marriage was a testament to love and commitment, and together they raised one son, Domingo Longoria, Jr.
Domingo worked more than 25 years at Texas State University as a co-gen operator, respected for his strong work ethic and warm spirit. He treasured time with family, finding joy in life's simple moments.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Pablo and Demetrio Longoria. He is survived by his wife, Susie; son, Domingo Jr., and daughter-in-law, Lydia; grandsons, Eric Longoria, Aaron Longoria, George McBurney, and Alex McBurney; granddaughter, Selena McBurney; and great-grandchildren, Lindsey, Marley, and Natalie Longoria. He is also survived by his brother, Joe Longoria (Sofia); sisters, Trinidad Martinez (Richard) and Gloria Esparza; and many nieces and nephews.
Domingo's life was defined by love, dedication, and family. His memory will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
Services have been entrusted to Pennington Funeral Home. Visitation is Thursday, August 21, 2025, 5:00-8:00pm, with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00pm, at Pennington Funeral Home in San Marcos. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 22, 2025, 10:00am at Immaculate Heart of Mary in Martindale, Texas. Burial will follow at Memory Lawn Memorial Park in Martindale.
