Suzanne Williams Obituary

Susanne was the third child born to Allie Burt and Verdi Lee Williams on July 29, 1938, in San Marcos, Texas. She was peacefully promoted to Heaven on September 9, 2025, at 87 years old.

She attended San Marcos Colored School where she played basketball, which was only half court and could only dribble twice.

She joined Jackson Chapel United Methodist Church and held several offices. Her favorite was serving as an usher.

Sue later joined Abundant Life Christian Church in 1996 under the leadership of Pastors Paul and JoAnn Buntyn, where she continued until her departure. Her current pastors were Darius and Jacqui Todd.

She enjoyed cooking for her family, especially during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Sundays were another favorite day to cook for her family and watch her favorite football teams- Kansas City Chiefs, Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills, Philadelphia Eagles, and Cincinnati Bengals. It's all about the QB's.

Sue thoroughly enjoyed spending quality time with her big sister, which she adored. Her all-time best was hanging out with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She always looked forward to her sons taking her to breakfast at IHOP and Cracker Barrel after her doctor appointments. She was fond of gardening, working book puzzles, watching westerns, Chicago Med, Fire, and PD and can't forget SWAT.

Proceeding her in death: parents, Allie Burt and Verdie Lee Williams, sisters: Myrtle Lee Davis and Ola Jean Anderson, two brothers: Allie, Jr. "Boyzy" and Billy Joe Williams, son: Billy Duane Williams, grandson: Donnie Larue Williams, Jr. and one goddaughter, Patricia "Patti" Moore.

She leaves to cherish her memory: Three sons: Donnie LaRue, Sr., Kim Douglass, and Steven Boyd "Sugar Bear" (Flo), one daughter, Chris Noel Williams, Grandchildren: Joseph Anderson (Jennifer), Monique Garcia (Mark), Brandon and Tristan Williams, Vincent Natal, Lori Ortiz (Freddy), Erica Ramos (Robert), Great Grands: Fabion and McKayla Anderson, Elijah, Faith, and Genesis Garcia, Vincent and Vanity Natal, Vanessa, Mariana, and Jacob Ortiz, Sophia and Samuel Ramos, Tyler , Sam and Emer , One great-great grandchild: Malaysia Anderson, one goddaughter, Betty Jean Harris (Wendall), One god-grandson: Laron Moore (Ashley), One special daughter and son: Wallace and Charlotte Peterson, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Services are Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at First United Methodist Church, 129 W. Hutchison St., San Marcos, Texas, with visitation beginning at 9:00am and services at 10:00am. Burial will follow at Memory Lawn Memorial Park in Martindale.

Suzanne or `Mama Sue´ as we called her was one of the kindest and most gentle souls we´ve known. She modeled her life after our LORD, Jesus Christ in her service to all.
We offer our deepest condolences to her family and that they take comfort in the fact that she is with the LORD. We, too, are joyful that she is in the company of many loved ones who have gone on before us.
We Love you Mama Sue!

My sincere condolences to the Williams family and especially to my friend, Chris Williams who I would like to see.
Chris, you know I adored your Mom, Miss Sue... as I would see at the Calvin´s house and I was so glad she used to look after IB when he was alive.
I would love to see and pray with you and know that I am here, thinking and praying for you and your family! I left my phone number with Jackson Chapel.
