Bundy Green Obituary

Bundy Green
June 10, 1939 - Nov. 26, 2014
Brookings, OR
Bundy William Green, died unexpectedly from a heart attack the day before Thanksgiving at home in Brookings, OR. Born to Araminta and Robert Green in Palo Alto, CA, he was raised in Stockton. In his youth, he excelled in basketball, and waterskied his way to becoming the 1952 West Coast Champion. A life-long music lover, he was thrilled to serve in the army in Germany at the same time Elvis Presley. A long time resident of Rio Del Mar, he was a charter member of the Bizarre Buzzards Running Club. He clocked many miles in Nisene Marks with his friends on foot and mountain bike, and ran dozens of races, including multiple marathons and the Western States 100. In recent years, he played golf and lived a few months a year living in Kailua-Kona, HI where he loved long walks and gabbing with people he met along the seawall. Bundy's sense of humor and gift of gab served him in his career in sales, and in retirement as a volunteer. Entered now into the eternal dirt nap, he is survived by sister Barbara Griffin of Seattle, WA, his daughter Sally Willey (Lucas) and granddaughter Sadie of La Selva Beach, son Christopher Green of Santa Cruz, ex-wife Sarah Nelson Green, niece Tish Satre (Tom), grand-niece Alex Satre, and his wife Denise Windham Green. He will be missed by his extended family and circle of friends. Bundy often said, "Be bright. Be brief. Be gone." Gone far too soon. All are welcome at a celebration of life on June 7th at 2PM Seascape Golf Club - Aptos. Please bring pictures and stories to share. Honor Bundy with a donation to Advocates for the Forest of Nisene Marks P.O. Box 461 Aptos, CA 95001-0461 advocatesfnm.org

Well Bundy I don't have much time left myself. I still have plenty of attitude, but my body is double crossing me. Maybe we will run into each other once again. My last dog Max is nearing the end too. He will join Cookie & Lucky & eventually all of our ashes will be mixed together. Till we meet again old friend.

I still miss my friend Bundy. We both volunteered for the South Coast Humane Society & loved to pick on each other. We worked in the SCHS together & were on the board of directors at the same time. What I enjoyed most about Bundy is when we would run into each other at different places & always end up chatting about anything & everything for 20 or 30 minutes. Gone to soon Mr. Green

Bundy you are a much appreciated friend & if it's OK with you I'll keep having conversations with you when I think our paths would have crossed or when we had an exchange of tall tales in emails.
