Carol Marilyn Connor passed away on March 5th after a long battle with COPD at the age of 76. Carol was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, migrated to the West Coast, attending Hartnell Jr. College where she met, and married, her future Husband, Larry of 47 years. Larry preceded Carol to the hereafter in 1996.
Carol's passion was playing bridge and she became a life's master champion. She also loved to needle point, take long walks overlooking Monterey Bay with her friends and traveled extensively to many countries in Europe with Larry. Carol's true love, dedication and life's commitment was to being a home maker, watching over and taking care of her family, in addition to her many beloved pets: cats and dogs, and one tortise.
Carol is survived by her three children: Cindy Dequine, and Todd and Chad Connor; her grandchild, Tracy Dequine; and great-grand children, Jonathan and Alexis Dequine. Carol has also left behind her sister the "famous" Aunt Shirley, and many beloved nephews and nieces and their children.
A Memorial Service shall be held at Calvary Episcopal Church in Santa Cruz on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make donations towards the celebration of Carol's life to the charity of your choice.
