Ted was born to August Theodore Haggblom and Elen Evelyn Johnson in San Francisco in 1930. Ted's family purchased a chicken ranch in 1937 and relocated to Soquel. Ted's next job was driving school busses while he attended Hartnell College. In 1954 he entered the Armed Services for two years and married his first wife, Lillie Mae, returning to Soquel in 1956 to raise a family. Ted worked at Stokley Van Camp, which later became Pacific Coast Producers working various jobs throughout the years retiring as the Mechanical Foreman. Predeceased by Lillie Mae in 1974, he remarried Melva Ann Lemke and moved to the Ben Lomond area and later relocated to Oroville in 1989 when Pacific Coast Producers was sold. Ted took up managing rental properties in retirement and enjoyed fishing, boating and became an avid RVing enthusiast as a member of the Escapees RV Club.
Ted is survived by daughters Julie McGowan and Donna Paul, son Robert Haggblom, and his stepdaughters Karen Elam and Catherine Fallon and seven grandchildren Christopher Fulmer, Justin Paul, Jeff Paul, Joshua Persons, Anthony Elam, Gabriel Fallon and Crystal Fallon. Julie, Donna and Robert, Rich and I send our condolence. We will miss Ted alot. He was a wonderful person. He was very caring and he loved to have people around. Sorry we didn't get down to see him more. as we loved to spend time with him. R I P. we loved you, Doreen and Richard Barcroft.
