Dolores (Provence) Chamberlain passed gently from this Life to the Next on Sunday 7/3/22 surrounded her by her husband of 42 years and her three children.
Dolores was born at the Storks Nest in Phoenix, Arizona in April 1940. The family traveled at first but she mostly grew up in Watsonville, CA. She began working in hospitals when she was a teenager and continued hospital work her entire career. She was most proud of providing bedside nursing, especially to elderly ladies. Dolores was a young mother and took great pride in seeing her children grow into wonderful adults. She met Dennis, the love of her life, at Valley Med Center in San Jose and they were married in 1980 before returning to live in Watsonville in 1981.
Dolores had been in declining health for the last several years but she never focused on herself. She was always positive and caring and ready to help others. Her family came first, but in addition to her family and providing nursing care, she loved gardening, sewing and art. Dolores said she was just a copyist, but she had a wonderful eye for color, design and balance. She painted many things from flowers to rocks, cartoons for children and characters for race cars. In later years she loved travel and she had a special place in her heart for her Maltese puppy Sanci.

Dolores was preceded in death by her mother Agnes Larson, her father Albert Provence and her son Roy Hamilton. She is survived by her husband Dennis Chamberlain, daughters Debra (Mike) Brautovich and Sandra (Jeff) Clark, son Martin Chamberlain, brother Al (Donna) Provence, sisters Linda (Alan) Parsons and Parcella (Bob Gately) Provence, 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, and 7 nieces and nephews.
There will be visitation at Ave Maria Chapel, Thurs 7/14 evening 5:30 to 8:30, a mass at Holy Eucharist Catholic Community in Corralitos at 11:00am Friday 7/15 with internment at Pajaro Valley Memorial Park followed by a reception at the home of Debra and Mike Brautovich in Aromas.
