Edith Pini Obituary

Edith Frances (Garnero) Pini
March 18, 1925 - July 14, 2021
Resident of Santa Cruz
Edith Frances (Garnero) Pini, 96, left her earthly self behind on July 14th.
Edith was born on Vine Hill Ranch above Scotts Valley. She loved to reminisce about life back then; milking cows, tending chickens and harvesting a wide variety of fruit grown on the property.
In later years, Edith was a performer, singing and dancing in shows, wearing costumes she had hand-sewn, held at Mid-County Senior Center. Her most prized possession was the washboard that she played in a blue grass band.
Family members that Edith leaves behind are Norman Gotti, Michael Ball, Anna Marie Gotti, Anthony Gotti, Kevin Gotti, Tami Wood and Maureen Kelly of San Francisco
Ever a sweetheart and always elegantly dressed, Edith was preceded in death by her parents Caterina (Locatelli) and Pietro Garnero, sisters Lena, Carmella, Ella and Eva as well as her companion of many years, Paul Munjarz.
The family would like to thank the following for their compassionate and diligent care of Edith in her Sunset years, the Assisted Team at Dominican Oaks, Safe at Home Senior Care, especially Virginia and Dana. Special thanks go out to Hospice of Santa Cruz for improving her quality of life when she needed it most.
Although the funeral will be private, there will be visitation at Santa Cruz Memorial on Thursday evening the 29th from 5 to 7 pm.
