Elizabeth Yvonne Cerruti passed away peacefully in her home April 21, 2008 after a long struggle with cancer.
Yvonne was born October 16, 1932 in Deadwood, South Dakota. Her family later moved to San Jose CA, where Yvonne spent her childhood years. In 1952 Yvonne married Leland Castle Cerruti, settling in Fremont. In 1972 Yvonne and Lee moved their family to Aptos where they enjoyed many wonderful years. Yvonne worked for the City of Santa Cruz Police Department and Parks and Recreation, John Shelton Inc. of Morgan Hill and Coast Handling Inc. of Mountain View.
Yvonne is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Lee and their eight children: Penny Michael, Chris, Bonnie Erickson, Patrick, Mary Hart, Keith, Mike and Kevin. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, Alex and Sarah Michael, Rachel and Sam, Ashley, Tim and Heidi Erickson, Krista and Jessie, Stephen and Cassie Hart, Jaye, Justin, and Jeffrey, Sean and Claire. She also leaves her sister's Vickie Shelton and Marilyn Holmes, brothers Maurie Norman and Marvin Norman. Her parents, George and Loma Norman and brother Delbert Norman preceded her in death. Yvonne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her legacy will live on as she is remembered for her untiring energy and her involvement and commitment to her family.
A Rosary service will be held Friday, April 25, at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Eucharist Church in Corralitos. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Saturday, April 26 at 10:00 a.m. also at Holy Eucharist Church with the Reverend Paul Murphy officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Santa Cruz County; 940 Disc Dr. Scotts Valley, CA 95066 or Holy Eucharist Church; 527 Corralitos Rd. Corralitos, CA 95076. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Mehl's Colonial Chapel

My prayers are with you and the family. I met Yvonne when I worked at Bank of America and always thought of Yvonne as a loving, caring vibrant woman. I'm sorry to hear of her passing.
