Frank Roberson passed away at home on August 13, 2015 with his wife Katie and loving family by his side. Frank was born in Oaknolia, Louisiana to Louis and Bessie Robinson, he was the second of eight children.
One of Frank's first jobs was at Salz Tannery, he also worked for Big Creek Lumber in Davenport, and owned the Stardust Bar in Santa Cruz. Frank met his wife Maryanna in Santa Cruz and they had two beautiful children, Victoria and Scott. Frank loved being a dad and attending dance recitals, ball games, field trips, and driving Scott and Vick's friends to these events.
Frank cherished his family, friends, and relatives and loved being in the company of all. Frank is survived by his wife of 23 years Katie, his son Scott, daughter in law Clarity, his grandchildren Asia and Eli. Brothers; Eli (Shelia) Robinson, Alex (Juanita) Robinson, Clyde Robinson, Sisters; Shallon Glover (Shreveport, LA), and Geraldine Woodward (John), of Hemphill, Texas. Mother-in-law, brothers and sisters in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Bessie Robinson, his beloved daughter Victoria Antoinette, brothers Joe Louis and Bernal, and many other dearly loved relatives.
Frank has requested in lieu of flowers please donate to your nearby Homeless Services Shelter.
A Celebration of Frank's rich and loving life will be held at The Circle Church, 111 Errett Circle, Santa Cruz, CA on Saturday September 12, 2015 at 1:00. Pot Luck immediately following.
