I just became aware of your tremendous loss. I'm so very sorry. I'll always remember Andy as a great kid with a magnetic personality. I'm so sorry to hear how he struggled with his mental health, but also so impressed by how he helped so many with their own struggles. I'm so moved by his story.
I wish the Graber family all the best as they navigate through this difficult period of grief.

Andy's infectious laugh was captivating. Even when you couldn't identify the humor in something, his laugh alone was a signal or indication that there was something indeed worth laughing about and those of us around him would join in the chorus. We once planned a trip to Oregon to meet friends for a camping adventure. It was the summer and we were both working and taking classes in Seattle. I hadn't heard from Andy for a couple days prior to the road trip and when he turned up to set off on our journey, I realized he had been busy. The entire cab of the pickup had been meticulously decorated in art work. An amazing collage of album covers, magazine clippings, photos, concert promotion flyers etcall loosely taped around the cab. It was a warm Seattle summer and around 30-minutes in, the cab of the pickup was like a sauna. I casually rolled down my window and as you might expect, half of the Graber-pickup-art gallery-exhibition escaped out the window. It was like being in a wind tunnel - papers and photos flying all over the place, smacking across the face and creating havoc. A few curse words were exchanged as Andy held the wheel steady and I rolled up the window. As things settled, I joked to Andy, we only lost half of the gallery. And then, he erupted in laugher as only Andy could. And down went his window, as the rest of the gallery joined the other half. We laughed, laughed and laughed more. As we always did together. The kind of laughter that one could always expect with Andy. Like the time I met him before we were heading out for an evening and I arrived at his place a little early. I think I told him I was hungry and couldn't wait to get to the restaurant / bar. Andy made me a plate of nachos and served them on a record player that was spinning around and around as he burst out in laughter. I have a thousand memories of our time together Andy that I regularly share with my family. And I will try my best to replicate your laughter and disposition so that they always know how important you are to me my friend and what an amazing individual you ARE. You are missed. I believe you are in a better place. You are missed.
