Geoffrey Miller Obituary

Geoffrey T Miller
Dec 24, 1955 - May 19, 2015
Boulder Creek
It is with sadness we say goodbye to Geoff Miller who passed away peacefully after a short battle with brain cancer. Geoff attended Los Gatos and Awalt high schools, preferring to call Mtn View his home, and later Boulder Creek. After serving in the US Coast Guard in Alaska and Hawaii, Geoff worked in tech at Sun Microsystems, and Cisco. Geoff was an enthusiast of flying and boating, and known for his postings among various internet forums. Geoff is survived by his brother Chris Miller of Boulder Creek, and his close friend Jon Canuela of Sacramento. A celebration of life will be held in Santa Clara, California on August 15, 2015.

Geoff was my coworker at Sun Microsystems and we lost touch when ended up working a Cisco. I admired him for his dedication and discipline. He had a no nonsense personality when it came to getting the job done. He was highly admired at the office for great conversation especially about life experiences. I have not read his internet postings but I recall that he was very happy participating in various internet forums and felt it was a complement when he corrected my grammar. I'm very saddened to learn about his passing. My condolences to his friends and family.
