Jerry (Gerald) Harvey Green passed away after a short battle with cancer on October 14, 2021 surrounded by family. He was born in Chickasha, OK on February 25, 1950 to Leonard and Ruby Green. Jerry grew up in San Jose, CA and served in the US Navy in Vietnam on the USS Mt. Hood. He later moved to the Bay Area, settling in Aptos in the 1980's. He worked in construction for over 45 years and will be remembered for his love of the outdoors. Jerry could often be found hunting, camping, fishing on the Capitola Wharf or frequenting the Santa Cruz nightlife with friends as the life of the dance party. A ladies man, Jerry will be missed by his many friends that he saw more as family. He is survived by his two sons Adam (Anne) and Erik (Kim), five grandchildren Killian, Jack, Finn, Hannah and Paxton.
A private burial and service will be held for family. Donations in honor of Jerry can be made to Ducks Unlimited (https://www.ducks.org/) or the VA Hospital of Palo Alto (VA Palo Alto Health Care System, 3801 Miranda Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304.)
