The Rev. Glenn E. Johnson, former pastor of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church in Santa Cruz, died at home January 15, 2022, surrounded by his family. He was 90 years old. Glenn was born in Valley City, ND, June 10, 1931, and raised in Oakland, CA. He was a family historian, writer, actor, singer of songs, preacher of sermons. Glenn descended from 200 years of Swedish Lutheran ministers. He was married to Barbara Jean Treseler of Watsonville, who predeceased Glenn in 2004. Together they travelled the world and took each of their grandchildren abroad. Glenn leaves his brother Ted, daughter Lisa (and Richard), sons Mark and Tim (and Mary); grand-children Marta, Molly, Henry, Colin, and Eleanor; and great grand-children Jimi, Dustin, and River. As Glenn liked to say "toodley doodley." A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, 2500 Soquel Ave, Santa Cruz, CA 95062.
