Isabel Caffrey Obituary
On August 3rd 2010 the heavens celebrated as one of their own returned home. "Well done my good and faithful servant." We mourn our loss and celebrate her life of love and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind. To a woman whose whole life was dedicated to others, unconditionally loving, giving and caring, an angel on earth to those blessed enough to come in contact with her, the true example of a life well lived. A joyful daughter, a loving sister, an excellent wife, the perfect mother, devoted grandmother, the best friend and most wonderful stranger "" you now have your wings farfalla; fly.
There will be a Funeral Mass to Celebrate her life on August 14, 2010 at 11:00 am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1200 Redmond Avenue, San Jose, Ca. 95120 with a reception immediately following in the church hall.

Liz, I will miss you so much. I remember you as the coolest mom of any friend I had. Trevor was my best friend when you lived on El Solyo Heights. My sincerest codolences to the Caffrey and Zanotto families. I didn't hear of Liz's passing until after it happened. I will always remember her caring ways, her wonderful personality and the way she touched us all with her friendship. Take comfort in knowing that now you all have a special guardian angel to watch over you.

Liz you were so special to me as a child and always remained in my heart that way. My cat, Lizzy, was a gift from you and named after you. She was my constant reminder of what a dear lady you were. The McCarthy family is so saddened to hear of your passing. I saw you once a year or two ago... I was walking down the street in La Jolla and looked up and just happened to see you driving by. I just now heard about Liz's passing. My entire family is in a state of shock and saddened terribly by this tremendous loss. I am very sorry that I did not hear about it in time to attend the service held for her.
I have such wonderful memories of Liz. I can still see her sitting in the stands at Little League games, and running into her many, many times on her favorite walking venue, West Cliff Drive. I remember the tender caring, love and comfort she brought to Trevor throughout his illness. I can see that radiant smile she always wore. I can visualize the endless hours of wiffleball she watched all the boys play in her backyard.
Liz was always such a warm and gracious person, loving wife, and caring mother. She was simply one of the finest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I am very grateful that I was able to get to know her while she was in this life. I pray that God will shed His grace and comfort on Mike, Preston, Wade, Jason and the rest of her friends and family through this very difficult time. I speak for the whole Phelps family when I say we loved Liz and will deeply miss her.

I am so saddened to read of Liz's passing. Surely I would have attended her service if I was aware of this before today. Liz was ..ah..such a nice, fun person, with such a quick smile. Once you met her, you never forget her - I know I haven't and I won't. I pray for consolation and quiet peace for those that mourn her so very deeply. Frank, Debbie, Mike, Jason, Preston and Wade, may God cover you in grace and bless you deeply in the coming months and years. You have lost so much too soon, and yet, have known so very much of the best life has to offer through those who have left you. And thankfully, you will reunite with them all one day. I will continue in prayer for you all, and I thank you for all you have done in service and to bring joy to the SV community.
