Jordon was such a ray of light . He had the most beautiful smile. I'm still broken hearted he is no longer with us . But he forever remains in our hearts and thoughts ♥ He truly left a void that no other could fill ♥ My heart goes out to Kathleen, Don and Logan ♥ Never forgotten. Sincerely, Aunt Rochelle

I wanted to share this with all of you.
It took me a little to get over the shock when I heard that morning. Once my head was clear my first thought was to go to church to see some of my friends from work. Someone asked me the other day are you religious. I think all of us are in some way, yes many may not go to church ever. Some of us are deeply religious also though, and still may never go to church. I believe most do though have a higher power, a god that we look to and or believe in. I did go to Church to talk to some of my friends because I couldn't figure out how to talk to some of our family members about something this devastating. I also wanted the prayers of a whole village to go out to all the family. I didn't really go there to pray for Jordan, he is Heaven now he is getting all the prayers God and the Angels can give for the rest of time, I went there to pray for all of YOU!
I have this Journal/Notebook I have been jotting stuff down in over the years. More recently kind of re-vamping it into a book based off a mini one I did back in high school. The Tao of Eric 1975. Be wood, be water, be air, be earth, where each one of these has roughly 1000 meanings and hundreds are described. For 3 to 5 years maybe more, 10? The things I've been jotting that I want to put in it are more akin to words of wisdom about life. Things that a Dad would tell his son, an Uncle would tell his Nephew, a Teacher or Mentor would tell their Student. You know things we learn in life, things we know about that we want to pass on. Epiphanies we learn as we get older. Every time I do that or get one of those I always want to share that with Jordan. I couldn't always reach him, but he was the first I always thought of at the time.
The second thing I thought and wanted to do that day was to head to the Mountains, into the wilderness. Drink a beer or take a shot for Jordan. I didn't do that though, so I could stick around and support the Family. Really though I go there to get grounded, no cell phones no lights tv roads houses people. To get down and in touch with Mother Earth, Terra, Gaia, the Great Mother, the Mother Goddess, whatever you call Her. That's my Church. I know Jordan would dig that getting away up to the Mountains, somewhere new maybe, somewhere unseen before, somewhere beautiful. I'm off work tomorrow, so I think I will head up there, camera in hand see if I can't get that once in a lifetime awesome shot? Maybe I'll see that skateboard skimming across the water.

Don, Kathleen and the entire Sturtevant family, our hearts are broken for all of you to hear of Jordon's passing. We have some amazing memories from the good ole Bradley School days! The 3 J's and their shenanigans always keeping us on our toes and smiling all the way.How we wish we could be there to give you all hugs and simply just be there for you during this heartbreaking unexplainable pain, but we are out of state. Our thoughts are with all of you always and forever.David and Carrie Thorpe
