Julia Lingemann Obituary

Julia Ann Lingemann passed away peacefully at the age of 92 in her Bonny Doon home on April 17, 2010.

She was born Julia Kovacs in Logan County, West Virginia, the youngest of eight children of Hungarian immigrant parents. She met her husband in Detroit, Michigan, and soon they moved to California. The Lingemanns bought land in Bonny Doon near Santa Cruz in 1951. When her children were older, Julia worked as a nurse's aide at Dominican Hospital until she retired. There she was known for her wonderful smile. Julia's children were the most important people in her life, but when they were grown, she continued to enjoy her country home, her garden and taking long walks with friends.

Julia is survived by her daughters, Starlet Saam, Dawn Letner, Melody Brown and Lorine Lingemann, and her sons, Kurt and John Lingemann. She leaves behind eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Dear John,
My condolences. I know there is nothing else in life like losing one's mother. I know she was a special woman.
