Mark Stanley Haugland passed away peacefully at the VA Hospital in Palo Alto at the age of 60. Mark was born in San Diego to Stanley and Isabel Haugland. He graduated from Piedmont Hills High in 1972. He served two years in the Army as an MP dog handler, and later attended West Valley College. He was a journeyman toolmaker and a long-time resident of Santa Cruz and Ben Lomond.
Mark was a very talented guitarist and played with several bands in the Santa Cruz area in the 80's and 90's. He later started a DJ business with his former wife, providing entertainment throughout the San Lorenzo Valley with the "Jambulance."
Mark is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Bruce & Laurie Haugland, nephews Matthew and Andrew, cousins Vicki & Frank Sutherland, and Bob & Sue Harris. Private services will be held.
