Robin Tsuji Obituary

Robin Bernosky Tsuji passed away after dealing with melanoma for 7 years. Other than her college years becoming a special education teacher, Robin never left the Monterey bay area. She constantly commented on how lucky she was to live in such a wonderful place. Whether on the tennis court, deep in the forests of Nisene Marks or strolling along the beach she never took a minute for granted.
As a teacher, Robin home schooled her two sons Joshua and Nathan until they were teenagers. Despite all the warnings about "socialization" they thrived in high school. She then started teaching other kids in her home and managed to bring the best out in each student with a mixture of old tactics, hard work and love.
Robin got along with everybody, but babies in particular. Her love, her joy, her deep understanding of emotions was a gift that touched many. She also liked to say that she helped her husband Eugene reach his potential. The jury is still out on that one.
A gathering to honor her memory will be held June 4th at DeLaveaga Park in Santa Cruz 1 PM. Come dressed comfortably and maybe toss a frisbee around or play some volleyball. Robin would not want it any other way.

Was saddened when I heard of Miss Robin's passing this week. She was one of the best teachers I've ever had, she made me feel confident when I thought I couldn't be. Deepest condolences to her family.

Robin was a great mom and a good friend. I love her dearly. I have known her for about 20 years. She and i started a homeschool program together at my home and she was my right arm as well as best friend. Her kids and mine grew up together and i will miss her so much. MY deepest sympathy to Eugene , Josh, and Nathan. Love and Hugs to you all. Her memory will forever be in my heart .
