Our wonderful mother, daughter, wife, sister, grandmother, aunt, niece, cousin and friend, Terry finally took flight from this earthly plane, peacefully and without struggle, on July 7th 2007.
Born and raised in the bay area of California Terry, and husband Ron owned and operated Square Nail Antiques in Soquel for 16 years. The Square Nail was a garden sanctuary where many came by just to sit, have a cup of coffee, and talk. Ron and Terry prided themselves on helping many locals, and newlyweds furnish their homes with cherished items. The Bacon's moved to Coeur D' Alene in northern Idaho in 1991 and built a quiet life there. They continued to share their love of world travel, antiques, friends and family.
Mom's amazingly strong spirit and perseverance blessed us with her presence for an astonishing 5 1/2 years after her diagnosis of lung cancer. She was an inspiration and encouragement to everyone around her, but especially to her fellow cancer warriors at the North Idaho Cancer Center. In the midst of pain, exhaustion, and the rapidly approaching truth of her own disease, Mom stayed up late in the evenings making prayer/hope bracelets for her fellow cancer warriors, doctors, nurses, friends, and family, completing nearly 350 bracelets. Mom nurtured many deep, meaningful, Christ centered relationships in her church families at Candlelight Christian Fellowship, Coeur D' Alene Bible Church and Santa Cruz Bible Church.
Mom's sister Judy expressed her love for Terry with these words. "What my sister meant to me? The hardest time I am having right now is that usually when something hits me hard, I turn to my sister for the perfect words, to make me stand up, and get strong, and move forward. I cannot do that this time. What strength she had. All was good when she was near. The sadness deep inside of me will pass but the love for her and all the memories will live forever. She truly was my inspiration."
Niece Jenny was also lovingly influenced by Mom. "I would love to add what a wonderful inspiration she always was. She took care of me a lot when I was growing up and she taught me the importance of being kind to one another and how doing for others helps you grow inside and out. My Aunt Terry was/is an amazing person with an incredible glow that I know has passed on to Heaven up above! I will always miss her and only wish I was able to hug her one last time! We love you and you will always be in my heart and thoughts."
Sister Carole Ann wrote this poem. Joy - Life - Vitality, All synonyms for Terry,
Daughter - Sister - Wife, The basics of her life, Mother Above all other, Faith - Love: Her goals, The essence of her Soul Carole Ann Davis
Mom's love for Jesus and his Word was the driving motivation in all that she did. A dear friend said, "Terry was my truest example of Christ on this earth". She was known for graciously sharing her love and trying to find the good in every person. Her insight, wisdom, and generous spirit were cherished by many.
Terry will be wondrously and agonizingly missed by her father Arthur McCrindle Carmel CA, mother Elsie Reynolds Los Gatos CA, husband Ron Bacon Coeur D' Alene ID, son Jeff Tranchina Hilo HI, daughter Katherine Westermann Spokane WA, son Michael Bacon Coeur D' Alene ID, loving sisters Janet Higgins Los Gatos CA, Judy Seeger Sherman Oaks CA, Carole Ann Davis Antioch CA, Barbara Elliott Carmel CA, Jan Windbigler Sacramento CA, beautiful grandchildren Brianna, Ben, Jennifer, Kristyne, Kyle, and Conner. Nieces Jana, Janine, Darla, Laurie, Jenny, Carla, Sheri, and Nephews Robert, Ken, Kurt, Jasen and Mark.
Some cherished people in Mom's life were, but certainly not limited to, Donald & Megan Stevenson Soquel, Susie & Wolfgang Thrun Soquel, Marilyn Fannucci Soquel, Pat & John Mandeville Marina, Steve, Paris & Liam Sikes Santa Cruz, Jim & Carolyn Dugger Soquel, The DiCiano Family Soquel, The Bell Family Soquel, The Williams Family Soquel, The Foster Family Soquel, Bob & Carol Shockley, Ben & Lou Griffin, Barbara & Ray Vasconcellos, Sharon & Ron Galligan.
God granted us shortly your smile and touch. Your firm words cleared our minds and straightened our paths. You loved and served us as if we were the only one in the universe. You taught us to laugh. You showed us all that a mother and wife could be. Your prayers brought us home and will lead us to Heaven. Your Son, M.A. Bacon

Terry Bacon Family,
As a former resident and native of Santa Cruz County, I write. Terry was a precious gift of God to everyone she touched. As a believer and pastor, reading about Terry touched me, in my spirit. May the Lord Jesus who called her home, grant you peace and comfort. Soon, so very soon, we too will meet our Lord and see Terry again with great joy!
