Thomas Sinclair Obituary

Thomas Sinclair, 65, passed away September 10, 2006 in Santa Cruz after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his parents, Daniel and Bernice Fogarty of Santa Cruz, his sister Danette Smith and brother, James Fogarty both of Boise, Idaho, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A native of of Vernon, Texas, moved to Santa Cruz at age 6, later graduated from Salinas High School, 1959 and attended Hartnell College. He left for New York City at age 26 and got his first job 3 days later, performing in "The H.M.S. Pinnafore". He worked continuously in many theatrical productions and operas, including "Man of LaMancha", "1776", "Amadeas", "Brigadoon", "Kiss Me, Kate", and "Guys and Dolls". He later worked for the New York City Police Auletic League.

He also produced and directed "The Wizard of Oz" and "Guys and Dolls" local productions. he returned permanently to Santa Cruz 3 years ago.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, September 14, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at Santa Cruz Memorial Mission Chapel, 1927 Ocean Street, Santa Cruz. Santa Cruz Memorial in charge of arrangements. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made in Thomas' memory to the Christian Children's Fund.
