BETTY L'HEUREUX

BETTY L'HEUREUX Betty L'Heureux, age 79, of Santa Fe, passed away on June 19, 2017 in Santa Fe, NM after a battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. She is preceded in death by her father, Melisendro, her mother, Phyllis, her brothers, John Rael, Tony Rael, Mel Rael, and Leroy Rael, and sister Ann Bornman. She is survived by her husband, Richard L'Heureux, whom she married on September 13, 1958, her daughter, Michelle L'Heureux, sons Mark L'Heureux , Edward L'Heureux, and Brian L'Heureux, grandsons Aiden and Leo and many siblings, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Betty worked at the District Attorney's Office. She enjoyed traveling, league bowling, square dancing, and bingo at the former College of Santa Fe. The family would like to thank Emma, Azulema, Donna, Teresa, Comfort Keepers and the entire team at Ambercare for their kindness and devoted care of our mother throughout her illness. Pallbearers are Joseph Ryan, Geoff Cooper, Harold Dixon, Joe Gonzales, Michael Rael, and Phil Garcia. There will be a Public Viewing held on Monday, June 26, at the Kiva Chapel of Light at Rivera Family Funeral Home at 6:00pm with a Rosary immediately following at 7:00 pm. There will be a Mass on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at St. John's Baptist Catholic Church at 9:00am, with a Burial to follow at 11:15 a Santa Fe National Cemetery.
