Beside being an innovative and motivative teacher, to me, Mr Faucett had a far greater impact on me as COACH Faucett at Harrington Jr High and at Santa Fe High. He had the capacity to bring out our best efforts, to inspire us, to give 'tough love' when we needed it, and to find just the right words and tone to acknowledge our effort and successes. An 'attaboy Jimmy' at the right time made all the hard work worthwhile. Coach Faucett brought us values and skills that have lasted me personally a lifetime. God Bless Coach Faucett and his family.

We are so sorry to hear of the loss of your Dad. We are thinking of you with love at this sad time as we often do. Our sympathy and warm regards to the entire family - it is a difficult and sad passage.

The Faucett's were friends of my parents, Frank and Rosina Lopez who were also teachers. Mrs. Faucett was my third grade teacher and one of those teachers whose influence has accompanied me through my life. Mr. Faucett was a coach and teacher SFHS and very popular with the students. One of mine and one of my sisters' responsibilities after school for several years was to walk Clyde, Jr. from Carlos Gilbert Elementary to St. Francis Elementary for catechism classes. What a live wire that kid was!! Condolences to the family. Clyde, Sr. and Ruby Faucett were wonderful people.

Here's another one, also from 59-60 Physics. I sat a row or two up from the back, sharing one of those big desks with Jim Wilcoxson, may he rest in peace. One day during some experiment Willie and I managed to knock part of our apparatus onto the floor and set the remainder on fire. That got Mr. Faucett's attention. "Goodspeed, what is GOING ON back there??" "Uh, we seem to be caught between two fires back here." "Well, you will be caught between three fires as soon as I get back there."

There must be lots of anecdotes about times when Mr. Faucett made us all dissolve in laughter. Shall we contribute some? I remember one time in physics class when someone in the front messed up. Mr. Faucett looked at him and said, "X, you are going to lose your collar and the seat of your pants. Because I will take you by the collar and the seat of the pants, and I will throw you out the door . . . but I will hold on!"

I was not a student of Mr. Faucett, but knew him as a member of the 1959-60 faculty at SFHS. I recall he was well respected and enjoyed by all SFHS students. God Speed, Mr. Faucett.

I have nothing but good memories of Mr. Faucett, my Physics class in 1960 and of the teams he coached which gave us all joy. He was a dedicated, no-nonsense educator. I am grateful for his influence.

I was a student of his in 7th grade, then physics as a SFHS junior. Also worked with him during my NROTC years at UNM, for aspiring naval officers from SFHS. Fine man, member of the "greatest generation". CDR Cam Gray, USN (ret) SFHS '59.

I studied physics with Mr. Faucett during the 1959-60 school year. He was a very entertaining teacher who really knew and enjoyed the subject matter. The world has lost a good guy.
