DELUVINA ROYBAL Obituary
September 28, 1926 – September 6, 2025
It is with immense love, great sorrow, and reverence that we announce the passing of our beautiful matriarch, Deluvina Vigil Cordova Roybal.
She was born and raised in the traditional Northern New Mexico town of Cundiyo, NM. She lived a full, healthy, and beautiful life.
Della is preceded in death by her father, Cayetano Cordova; her mother, Luisita Vigil-Cordova; her in-laws, Benardo and Aurora Lujan-Roybal; her first-born baby, Elizabeth; her cherished son, David; her consentida daughter, Debbie; and her beloved husband, Jose Edumeño Roybal. She is also preceded in death by her siblings: Amadita, Maria, Pedro, Reynaldo, Grace, and Medardo.
She is survived by her daughter, Lola Thompson; her son, Jake Roybal and wife Kathleen; and her daughter, Elizabeth (Liz) Roybal. Grandchildren: Jessica Lovato, Felicia Dawn Kellum (Darron), Theresa Martinez (Alyn), Thomas Thompson (Susy), Amanda Rives (Waylon), David Roybal (Darlene), Karen Roybal. Great-Grandchildren: Aurora, Jacob (Julia), Isabella, Liv, Luke, Lilliana, Jeremy, Bonifacio, David, Gabriella, Jasmine, Lola.
Serving as Pallbearers: Albert Wheeler, Andrew Nuanes, Thomas Thompson, David Roybal, Jacob Martinez, and Luke Roybal-Lovato.
Visitation will be held at Berardinelli Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 5:00 p.m., with a Rosary to follow at 6:00 p.m. Mass will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at San Antonio De Padua Iglesia in El Rancho, followed by interment at the National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m., where she will be laid to rest.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Carrie Tingley Hospital.
