Just some thoughts
I have known Herbert for many years; he had such a great view about life; he was quick witted yet thoughtful, and a great mentor for the younger people he worked with every day. He was happy to help someone in need. What he loved the most of course, was his family; he was always quick with loads of pictures or stories of his kids and grandkids; those grand-kiddies were the apple of his eye! He was a private man, and softie at heart, but didn't let that show often. Herbert loved work and loved to work with his hands; he was always working on a project of some sort at home in addition to his full-time job. He would often tell me about projects he was working on and keep me updated on the car renovation he was in the middle of; he was always busy doing something!
I will miss you terribly my friend, see you on the flip side...

Grandpa I miss you so much and can't believe your gone, you were always the life of the party making jokes and saying random things to make us all laugh. you have been a blessing in my life, and I cherish every moment I got to spend with you. I Know you're in a better place, and I know your no longer suffering. I love you my great grandpa, life will not be the same without you. but until we meet again you will always have a special place in my heart forever, rest in peace

I worked with Herb at lapo. We did valet together for a few years. He was fun to hang with. He was one of the guys. I remember his 442. I just saw him a week or two ago driving the lapo shuttle on the plaza. Wish I could´ve spoken with him one more time. My respects to the family...
