Jose Soveranez Obituary
On July 16, 2024, Jose Luis (Louie) Soveranez passed away too soon. Born in Santa Fe on March 20, 1963, Louie was deeply loved by many and will be greatly missed. He excelled in wrestling, football, and baseball, always displaying a competitive spirit. Louie was a loving and caring individual who made friends wherever he went. He loved sports and enjoyed officiating games.
Louie was preceded in death by his father, Abelino Soberanes; his brothers, Andrew, Jeff, and David; and his sister, Ferminia.
He is survived by his four children, Natasha, Elijah, Emelio, and Enrique; his three grandchildren, Ava, Amorie, and Azamyah; his mother, Alicia Soveranez; and his siblings, Marcella, Phyllis, Art, Ben, Joann, Barbara, Robert, Pat, Paula, and Allen, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A rosary and mass will be held at St. John's Church on Friday, August 9, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Rivera's Gardens of Memories at 12:30 p.m., with a reception to follow at Elks Lodge.

Louie and I were HS friends and teammates on the SF wrestling team. So sorry to hear about about his passing. I think about the good times we had and am glad to have counted him among my friends. Rest in Peace Brother.
