Lucas Eloy Martinez born May 6, 2001, lifelong resident of Santa Fe, joined some of his favorite loved ones in Heaven on December 31, 2024.
Lucas was a sports enthusiast, an outdoorsman, and an animal lover. On most days, you would find Luke driving around with "Bubbs" (his canine son) blasting music with their windows rolled down. Lucas loved every single person in his life and cared deeply for everyone he ever encountered. He was always making everyone feel special. He was the kindest soul, had a contagious laugh, and would give anyone the shirt off of his back if they needed it. People loved Luke just as much. No one ever forgot to ask about him. He will be deeply missed.
Lucas is preceded in death by his dad Darrell; grandparents Anita & Michael, Eloy; uncle Matthew; cousin Adam; and many other loved ones. He is survived by the love of his life, Rudie; his loving mom Renee; bonus parents Chris & Jennie; grandma Rose; sisters Karissa (Ben), Kathleen, Kylie (Corey); brothers Jeremy, Christian (Kenia), Ishmael; aunts and uncles Joyce & John, Allicia & Peter, Becky & Mike; nieces and nephews Gabriel, Gloria, Daniel, Jayce; and countless cousins, relatives, and friends who meant the world to him.
A rosary will be recited at Rivera Funeral Home on Thursday, Jan. 16th at 6 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Guadalupe on Friday, Jan. 17th at 11 am. Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
