Kirk was one of my first mentors when I joined ITO in 1981. He always had an open door policy throughout his illustrious career at the Lab and I often turned to him for advice concerning technology or personnel issues. He and Pat are again together in heaven.

Enjoyed working with Krik for so many years. Truly a man of many talents.

I am proud to have known Krik as a friend, colleague, and mentor.
I had the privilege of working closely with Krik during the exciting times after the fall of the Soviet Union. Krik's gracious introduction of me to two senior Russian scientists -- long time acquaintances of his -- was instrumental in me making contact with the general in charge of Russian nuclear effects testing and shortly thereafter to Krik and me hosting the general and a colleague during a visit to Los Alamos that included a remarkable colloquium in which they described previously unknown aspects of the Soviet nuclear test program. The visit also included a wonderful dinner graciously hosted by Pat and Krik in their home.
Krik fully deserved the many honors he received during life and the recognition he is receiving now.
