Randolph Davis Obituary

RANDOLPH WESLEY DAVIS Our dear Randy, born on February 19, 1952 in Santa Fe, NM, died on April 15, 2009 in Los Angeles, CA. His father, Stan Davis; and brother, Patrick Davis precede him. His surviving mother, Zulema Davis; sister, Felice Rodriguez; numerous nieces; nephews; grand nieces and nephews, all residing in Santa Fe and Albuquerque, NM, will sincerely miss Randy. A 1970 graduate of Santa Fe High, his first year of collage was at Ft. Lewis in Durango, CO. Randy went on to earn multi degrees in architecture, engineering, and business at Arizona State University. Working in all these disciplines was his passion, as well as traveling the world. He treasured his hikes in the Aspen woods of Santa Fe's Hyde Park and the hills of Santa Barbara. His time was spent between homes in Los Angeles and Santa Fe. 25 of his 57 years were lived honorably navigating Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma - with never a moment of self- pity. Randy's humor, style, tenacity, strength, and courage will be remembered by his loving family and dear friends. Private services are being held by the family. Donations in his honor may be made to: The Carmelite Monastery, 49 Mt. Carmel Rd., Santa Fe, NM 87505.

My memories of Randy and Pat remind me of the following quote - "The secret of happiness is to make others believe they are the cause of it". They created happiness for others and all around them -

My sympathy to the family and close friends.

Adios!

Randy and I were good friends in elementary school when my family moved to Santa Fe in 1960. We had some grat times together as kids. I was a very good man. Mine and my family's sympathies to his mother and sister on their loss. Our families have been friends for almost 50 years. Our prayers are with you. God Bless!

Randy and I were good friends during high school in Santa Fe. When I moved to Colorado he visited me in Grand Lake and we had a great time. He was a kind, wonderful, caring person and I only wish I could have kept in touch...he was a good, good person.
