Rogelio Gilbert Duran

Rogelio Gilbert Duran Age 72, passed away suddenly on December 30, 2010 at his home in Ensenada, NM. Rogelio is preceded in death by his father and mother, Rogelio Sr. and Casilda Duran; brother, Horace; and sister-in-law, Elizabeth. Rogelio is survived by his sister, Ramona Gonzales and husband, Mike of Santa Fe; brother, David Duran of Los Lunas; nephew, Michael Gonzales and wife, Sallie of Albuquerque; nephew, Christopher Gonzales of Santa Fe; girlfriend, Josephine Sisneros of Chama; and many other loving relatives and friends. Rogelio honorably served and retired from the United States Marine Corps. Following his military retirement, he worked at and retired from Bandelier National Park. Rogelio was a father figure, loving uncle and brother, role model, teacher and a friend. Rogelio will be remembered for his bultos and retablos, friendly ways and warm personality. Gilbert you loved your family and friends and you will be sorely missed by us all. Public visitation will begin on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 6 p.m. in the Chapel of Berardinelli Family Funeral Service, with a rosary to follow at 7 p.m. A second rosary will be held on Friday, January 7, 2011 at the San Jose Catholic Church in Los Ojos at 7 p.m. Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 11 a.m. also at the San Jose Catholic Church in Los Ojos.
