It was only for a few years that I got to work with Rogelio at Bandelier before he retired. I was new to Nuevo Mexico and was thrilled to receive history lessons from such a dear man. My condolences at his passing.

Dear cousins Ramona, David, Mike, Michael, Chris and Sallie,
Gilbert's soul was very pure. His art was beautiful and inspirational. He touched our hearts and he will be remembered very lovingly by all of us. Mona and David, I am so sorry for the sudden loss of your beloved, Gilbert. He was a good man, a funny man and, first and foremost, he loved his family. Gilbert, may you rest in peace in the arms of our Lord, Jesus Christ, only Son of the Father, who gave His life so that we can enter His Kingdom forever.
