VERENA FRAUENFELDER
Our beloved mother, Verena Frauenfelder, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025. She left us without suffering, surrounded by the love of her family.
Verena was born on March 9, 1927 and lived a long, rich, and graceful life filled with kindness, and deep affection for those around her. She was devoted to her husband Hans, with whom she shared over 70 happy years - first in Schaffhausen, Switzerland where they were grew up, then in Urbana, Illinois, where they raised their family and built enduring friendships, and later in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where they enjoyed a serene and fulfilling life together. Verena's spirit lives on in the compassion she inspired and in the love that unites those she leaves behind. She is survived by two daughters, Kätterli and Anne and their husbands, her son, Uli and his partner and her four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
We would like to thank all those that took such wonderful and loving care of Verena for the last decade of her life: Caroline, Jodene, Judith, Keri, Louise, Margaret, Shirley, and Steve and all the other wonderful women at Elite and the staff at El Castillo.
