WESLEY E. VAN DE VALDE

WESLEY E. VAN DE VALDE Age 64, passed away after a long struggle with cancer on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, in the comfort of his home with his loving family by his side. Wes served in the Air Force as a Corrosion Control Specialist Sergeant from 1972-1976. He was also a volunteer firefighter for the La Cienega Fire Department for several years in the 1980s Wes is preceded in death by his brothers: Jimmy Bowlin, Terry Van De Valde and sister, Vicky Van De Valde. He is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Geraldine Van De Valde; daughters: Twyla Lopez (husband James) and Monique Baca (husband Julian); grandchildren: Alyssa, Leyla and Jayme Lopez, Isaiah Trujillo, Jordan and Kiara Baca; parents: Leonard and Wanda Van De Valde; brothers: David Van De Valde (wife Carole) Bill Van De Valde (partner Rose Ward); and sister, Stephanie Addington; along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Services will be held at Rivera's Family Funeral Home, 417 Rodeo Road in Santa Fe on Monday, January 28th, beginning with the viewing at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be held at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N. Guadalupe St. at 1:30 p.m. Reception to follow at the F.O.P., 3300 Calle Maria Luisa, Santa Fe 87507. Pallbearers are: Larry McCleskey, Greg Boucher, Leroy Lucero, John Roybal, Ron C de Baca, James Ferrell and Karl Witt. Pallbearer Escorts are: Isaiah Trujillo and Jordan Baca.
