Anna Marie Santillan Michaud

1950 - 2025

Anna Marie Santillan Michaud, 75, a lifelong resident of Guadalupe, passed away on June 3, 2025.

She is the daughter of Sarah Barron and the late, Raymond Santillan.

Anna Marie graduated from Ernest Righetti High School in 1968. Before starting Anna Marie's Bookkeeping & Tax Service, she worked for W. T. Grant, Thrifty Drug Stores, Koyama Farms and Byrd Produce.

Anna Marie was a proud Guadalupian who dedicated much of her life to serving her community. She served on the Guadalupe Union School District Board of Trustees and as the treasurer for the City of Guadalupe. She was also an active member and supporter of the Kiwanis Club of Guadalupe and the National Association of Tax Preparers.

Anna Marie was a devoted wife, mother, nana and gigi. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her family and friends, especially on weekends filled with barbecues, laughter, and simply being together. She loved having tea parties with her great-granddaughters, creating cherished memories that will be treasured for generations. A devoted Catholic, she shared her faith as a catechism teacher and lived her values through generosity and compassion- donating school supplies, giving blankets to those who were cold and always being there for others in their time of need. She was her children's biggest fan, loving them unconditionally with all her heart. She loved watching her grandchildren play sports and traveling with each of them to their tournaments. Whether their games were close to home or as far away as Las Vegas, she was there, rain or shine, hot or cold, to cheer them on creating memories to last a lifetime. She also enjoyed cheering on her beloved 49ers. A passionate decorator with a love of flowers and balloons, she brought beauty into every space she touched. Her warmth, strength, and joyful spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Anna Marie is survived by her husband of 40 years, Robert Michaud. She is also survived by her daughter, Sheila Marie Costa Cepeda and son, Eugene Costa Jr., his wife, Enietra, stepdaughter, Danielle Michaud; Grandchildren Nadine Cepeda, Eugene III "Beanie", John and Jo Costa, Anthony Grijalva, Cristina and Robert Garcia, and Anna Maria Michaud; Great grandchildren Kaylene Gonzalez, Melanie, Stephanie, Emily, Aaron III and Rosie Cepeda, Noemi and Ellie Grijalva, and Manuel Ramirez; Sister, Annette Guerrero, brother, Roger Barreto III, his wife, Alicia and numerous nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her grandma, Camila Lemus, sister, Esther Reynoso, brother-in-law, Louie Guerrero Jr., grandson, Aaron Joseph "AJ" Cepeda Jr., and niece, Angelique Reynoso.

All services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 1164 Obispo Street, Guadalupe CA.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 19, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. with a Rosary following at 5:00 p.m.

A memorial mass will be held Friday, June 20, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., burial at the Guadalupe Cemetery with a reception immediately following at the Guadalupe City Hall, 918 Obispo Street, Guadalupe CA.

Arrangements are under the direction of Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary.
