1926 - 2008
Bernadette Ibardolasa, 82 of Santa Maria, CA, passed away Friday, July 25, 2008 at Marian Medical Center.
Bernadette was born May 8, 1926 in Kalibo, Aklan, Philippine Islands and was raised and educated there. She received her teaching credentials from Aklan College and was employed as an elementary school teacher for 6 years.
Bernadette married Benjamin Ibardolasa in 1954 and they moved to Los Olivos, CA that same year, where Benjamin was a chef at Mattei's Tavern. In 1959 they moved to Santa Maria, CA where Bernadette was employed with John Inglis Frozen Foods for 5 years. Later, she worked in the Vandenberg AFB Commissary for 5 years. Benjamin was employed as a chef at Santa Maria Inn. Benjamin passed away in 1978. Bernadette was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church.
She is survived by her son Eddie Ibardolasa of San Diego, CA and numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 30, 2008 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary. The Graveside Service will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Santa Maria Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary and Crematory.
