Brandon LaPolla Obituary

Brandon LaPolla

January 6, 1990 - January 9, 2024

Santa Maria -Brandon was born to Tony and Sandy LaPolla along with his twin brother Christopher on January 6th, 1990.

Brandon graduated from Ernest Righetti High School in 2009, then went on to Allan Hancock College. His work career included Spencer's Fresh Market for years. Recently he worked at SMOOTH Inc. bus service. He touched the hearts of many of his customers and he'll be missed by all of them.

He passed away on January 9th, 2024, after a long battle with stage 4 testicular cancer that had metastasized throughout his body. He put up an amazing fight and was very positive throughout his battle. During this long journey he always had a big smile and a "thumbs up" that was so inspiring. He went peacefully with his parents, brother and two uncles by his side, Gery LaPolla and Bill LaPolla who is also his godfather. He was determined to get to his and his brother's 34th birthday. With his sheer will and determination, help from the fantastic doctors and nurses at Cottage and Marian hospitals, he happily met that goal.

Brandon enjoyed BBQ'ing, quad riding, off-roading, target practicing, knee boarding, hiking, and being with family and friends. He loved making people happy and laugh. He had the gift of gab and he never met a stranger. He had the biggest, most infectious smile that would lite up a room.

He was confident that he was going to heaven and is now watching over all of us who loved him so very much. He is our angel forever.

Brandon is survived by his parents Tony and Sandy LaPolla, his twin brother Christopher LaPolla, Grandparents Jimmy Harrison, Bill and Nancy LaPolla, Aunts, Uncles, cousins and many, many friends.

Preceded in death by his grandmother Shirley Harrison, his Uncle James and Aunt Sherry Harrison.

Without Brandon in our earthly lives, there will forever be a giant hole in our hearts.

We will let all his friends and loved ones know where and when a celebration of life will be later this summer, so we can fulfill his wishes of having one more BBQ in his memory.

It was actually Brandon's friendliness to neighbor Virginia that reassured me that it was OK to move into the house near him on Dahlia! When they were out there talking to each other as I drove up, I sensed a friendliness and love, that overcame on my doubts about the house and neighborhood. His gift of gab won me over.

Sending hugs to Brandon´s parents and brother. What an amazing young man Brandon was, his positivity and bright light have been felt by all of Orcutt. His smile would brighten anyone´s day and then, he would ALWAYS remember EVERYONE no matter how much time passed, which always made us all feel so special. It takes a one of a kind person to make so many people feel seen and make them smile even on their hardest of days. That was Brandon. I know his welcome to Heaven was an epic one! Thank you for the beautiful and heartfelt smiles and kind conversation Brandon, you impacted us all so positively and I am grateful we crossed paths.

I was saddened to learn about Brandon's passing. I had the honor of knowing him I'm high school. I had him in a few classes and many times he was the only person who was nice to me. He even remembered me at spencers and we chatted almost every time I was in the store. Praying for the family during this difficult time.
