To Cliff's family, my thoughts are with you, and I know when you think of Cliff, you will smile. He kept all of us who worked with him "on our toes" because with him and Carl Betty around, you never knew what was going to happen. I "salute" you Cliff.

Dear Castro Family,

I was so shocked and saddened to hear about Cliff's passing. Even though he always kept me on my toes because you never knew what was up his sleeve! He had a smile that could brighten your day and a clever wit to get us through Annual Refresher Training. Take comfort in knowing that he is resting now and watching over all of you. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Bye Cliffie...

The Castro family was like my 2nd family throughout my senior year in high school. Cliff would always crack jokes about me & Veronica. Gonna miss him dearly. His was a great man. He is in a better place looking over you all. Remember the good times. One day you will all be home again. If you need anything, I'm here. Love you all!

Dear Castro Family,

Sincerest condolences for the loss of your loved one. Cliff was a good friend and co-worker. Carl Betty, Linda Hale, Mark Huerth, myself and Cliff were known as the "knitting group". We would meet at lunch time, and talk about current events and things going on at work. Cliff would keep us laughing every time. It was a pleasure to have known such a wonderful person. My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief.

Dear Castro family: I am so sorry to hear of Cliff's passing. He was a good friend who kept us laughing through many lockdowns and boring annual training classes. I worked with Cliff for over 15 years and he always kept us on our toes. His unique sense of humor and gentle manner was appreciated by everyone who knew him. Goodbye Cliffy...

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Cliff's death this past weekend. In the 20 plus years I worked with Cliff he never had anything to say negative about any post he was assigned or anyone he worked with...except Carl Betty :) I hated getting those two together in annual training class...it was hard to keep the lid on the class due to the laughter from their wisecracks.

Rest in peace Cliff! Hope to see you running the Admissions and Orientations group at the Pearly Gates!

Dear Castro Family,,I am very sorry for your loss. Cliff was a very good friend of mine for 20 plus years and we worked together for 19 years at USP Lompoc, we were brothers in arms and even though I have 3 brothers ,Cliff was like a 4th and he was truly a mentor of mine. He taught me many things about the job and life and his sense of humor was next to none,,just ask me and I will be happy to share some of the Cliff and C.B. stories that I will never forget and will live on ,in my memories of Cliff and that have been passed down in my family also..Cliff was truly blessed to have a good and loving family around him in his final days and I will never forget my best friend and brother. You cannot help but be sad ,during this time, but remember, Cliff is free of all his pain and besides when I think of Cliff ,he always brings a smile to my face. God Bless him and the Castro family.

Dear Castro Family - I'm sorry for your loss of your loved one; husband, dad, grandpa, brother, and/or best friend. He was a great guy and I know you all love him very much and will miss him dearly. It's never easy to loss a loved one that is so close to your hearts but now is the time to celebrate the memories you have shared with him over the years with others and keep his memory alive. As hard as it is, try to think of this as a new beginning for Cliff as he can now be at peace and free of pain. I want to say that in the last few weeks just thinking about the random things he would talk to me about or ask me puts a smile on my face and that's how I will remember him by. He fought hard but God needed Cliff more at this time, but remember he will always be with you. I want to also say that one thing that Cliff said to me before I left home was he wanted the family to stay together. So maybe with this unfortunate situation a positive can be the outcome with the words that Cliff told me as you will all stay together if not grow closer together I know that is what he would have wanted. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Love - Rachelle
