1933 - 2025

Donna was born in 1933 in Los Angeles, California to Roy Jones and Myrtle Able Jones (Adams). Donna passed away very peacefully with family by her side on October 4th at Merrill Gardens Memory Care (Cypress House) in Santa Maria.

Donna was an avid quilter and won numerous awards over the years. She was known for her hand piecing, hand applique and hand quilting. She made many charity and comfort quilts over the years. She was a member of the Nipomo and Santa Maria Quilt Guild and was the featured artist at the 2015 Nipomo Quilt show. Donna had a few small quilts published in Quilter magazine.

Donna graduated from Arroyo Grande High School. She worked at Camp Cook (VSFB) and is where she met her husband Lee. Lee was career Army and early in their marriage traveled to many states and settled in Santa Maria when he retired in 1967.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters (Dorothy and Doris), a baby brother (Orville) her husband Lee Dahlquist in 2007 and two daughters, Sharri Blundstone 2009 and Kim Cobos 2009, also her precious great granddaughter Victoria Camacho (2015)

She is survived by her sister, Dolores Worden, Tennessee, daughters Traci Baez (Gil) Sahuarita, AZ and Courtney Moreno, Orcutt, CA. Five Grandchildren, Lee, Ami, Chelsea, Amanda and Brandon. Numerous great and great great grandchildren. Also, numerous nieces and nephews.

A very special thank you to all the care givers from the Cypress House for all the kind and compassionate care you gave Donna.

Donations can be made to a charity of your choice or to the Alzheimer's Association.

Graveside services will be October 24th at 11:00 am at the Santa Maria Cemetery (old section).
