Iva Feliciano Obituary

IVA MAE (DOYLE) FELICIANO
Iva Mae (Doyle) Feliciano, age 99, went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, April 17, 2009. Iva was born in Orcutt, California, on July 30th, 1909, to Thomas and Mabel (Wilcox) Doyle. Iva was a lifelong resident of the Santa Maria Valley, other than two years spent in the mission fields of Brazil in the late 1950s, and five years in Alaska helping to raise her grandchildren in the 1980s. Iva was preceded in death in 1981 by her beloved husband, Jonathan James Feliciano. They had been married 51 years at the time of his passing. She is survived by her sons Don Feliciano of Montana and Tom Feliciano and his wife Valerie of Alaska, her sister Florence Standard of Santa Maria, five grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren.
Her great passion in life was her relationship with Jesus Christ and bringing all who would listen, to his saving Grace. One could say that her hobby was studying the Bible and she wore out several of them. For over 60 years she taught Bible studies in the communities of the Central Coast and the lives that she touched are too many to count. She met Jesus at the First Baptist Church of Santa Maria in 1946. She was a charter member of Grace Baptist Church and at the time of her passing a member of Santa Maria Four Square. She will be greatly missed.
A graveside memorial service for Iva will be held at Santa Maria Cemetery at 2pm on Friday, May 22nd. A reception will follow at the Del Cielo Mobile Estates Recreation Center at 3pm at 3210 Santa Maria Way, Santa Maria, California.
