Judith "Judy" Marie Tani

In loving memory of mom, nona, sister, aunt, cousin and friend to so many. Judith "Judy " Marie Tani was born on October 1, 1948 to Lena and Noel Donaldson in Santa Maria. She graduated from Santa Maria High School in 1966 and then went to Allan Hancock to receive her AA. She married Michael Tani on October 2, 1971, and they welcomed two daughters. Judy passed away on July 8, 2021 at the age of 72, after her courageous fight with numerous health issues over the last three years.

Judy was loved by so many. She was a true family woman and loved all kids as if they were her own. She was the "family babysitter" and everyones LOUDEST fan. Judy was a lover of all sports, and she was often found in her living room cheering on her favorite teams. She was selfless, generous and kind, and she always put others first (if you knew her you would agree). Judy loved her six grandchildren. They were her everything, and she was the best "Nona" to them. She will be missed by all, but her ray of light will continue to shine.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Leppo (brother), Nick Donaldson (brother) and Shannon Donaldson (niece). She is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Frazier (married to Bannon Frazier) and Ashley Petersen (married to Matt Petersen), and her grandchildren: Bannon, Adalena, Buford, Bennett, Jensen and Maeve. She is also survived by her siblings: Barbara Ramos, Shirley Parish, Nola Kent-Moore, Gaye Hale, Tommy Leppo, Terry Leppo and Fred Donaldson as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service and visitation will be held in the chapel of Dudley Hoffman on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 from 10am until noon. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Mission Hope Cancer Center in Judy's honor.
